I know this thread is a little old now, however...

I ordered the BMW bulbs from eBay as suggested above. Fitted them easily, quick test, no errors on dash. Great.

However, driving around, I noticed that occasionally a warning pops up on the dash for about 30 seconds or so saying 'CHECK LH/RH DRL', then it goes away again. This confused the hell out of me until this morning, I was stuck in traffic and could see the reflection of the bulbs in the car in front, and noticed that the DRL's were randomly shutting off for a short time then coming back on. They seem to switch off independently of each other, and never more than about 30 seconds down. Very strange situation. Its like there is a dodgy connection or something.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Try re seating the bulb in the holder, failing that try swapping them over from left to right, it may be a faulty bulb.

Unless it is a dodgy connection which may be unlikely if both sides are doing this at different times, usually this is a symptom of led's overheating or failing.
The currently unusual warm weather may be a factor. The led bulb will have a canbus fooling resistor within, generating maybe 5-10 watts of heat internally.

I was out and about in mine yesterday and they were fine, I've never had any errors appear in the three months they have been installed.

This is good - sounds like yours are not faulty unlike previous poster.
