    No washer jets

Picked up CC today, all great apart from no washer jets!

Can hear the pump running, the lights do get washed. But windscreen ones are not working, is there a filter/gauze for these before the jets? I've read they can clog up at the jet point? Any tips?

Yes I could take it back but want to get my hands dirty with DIY service anyway.

    Thoughts?

Ok, had a look they do look quite clogged. Maybe one in the drivers side 3, looks kinda clear. I can see they appear to clip into the bonnet. How do these unclip? Do they just pull out for easy cleaning?

Is the water getting to the jets - sometimes there is an inline connector in the tubing which separates. Usually in an awkward place.....

Tomorrow I'll unclip the jets and see if water does get that far.

If not where are the inline connectors?

Fixed. Un-clipped the jets, removed water line and loom connector.

Sprayed limescale remover down the jets, left them for a few mins. Then cut a wire off a wire brush and used that to clean the jets, blew through with some air. (human powered) could feel air come through this time.

    Re-fitted all working perfectly!

I did a Golf 5 on Friday where the washer jet feed hose was collapsed inside the bonnet, a little random!

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.
