    What PS should I buy?

Hi. I have been looking for a Sharan for several months now for the family. Have unfortunately missed out on a couple but the search goes on.

I have been trying to get around a 177ps but am now broadening my search to include 148ps. Is there much difference between 148ps and 177ps - can you feel the additional power or is there not much difference? Need to test drive a 177ps but can't find any that are suitable at the moment hence the feeling I should go for lower power.

    Thanks!

According to my records they don't make a 148PS Sharan. They make a 150PS and as you say 177PS.

Sorry, yes 150ps. Some sites advertise it as 148ps for some reason.

Just FYI 150 ps equates to 148 bhp. I've seen specs on websites confusing the two.

Bhp / PS is probably the most misquoted power figure ever , it's torque you need to pay attention to .

Probably around 30 lbft difference between the two but the lesser probably with a smaller turbo ? will give the earlier spool and sweeter driveability .
