Alloy wheel hub cover for Golf 2.0 TDi Mk V - confusion over size

    Morning everyone,

Some blighter's nicked the wheel hub covers from my Mk V Golf TDi 140, and I'd like to replace them. I'm confused about sizing though: all the products I've found on eBay and Amazon that look right are described as 55mm / 65mm internal/external diameter. I measured the distance across my wheel hubs, and it's more like 140mm. What's going on? Can someone point me in the direction of the right replacement hub cover?

Here's a photo showing the measurement:

VW wheels have a name and different diameters on a 2005 Golf, like Jarama 15", Montreal 16", Long Beach 17". They all have different centre covers.

I can't make out the part number on your picture, can you look and post it?

That is a 1K0 601 025 R so it is an "IMOLA", takes cap 1K0 601 149 E QZQ and these are 32.47 each from VW.

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.

Thanks for the speedy replies; didn't know that about all the different covers for just that model. You'd think they'd have standardised those by now. Anyway, zooming in on the original picture I took, the wheel's part number is indeed 1K0 601 025 R, as Crasher has highlighted.

Thanks for the guidance on wheel cover part number as well; greatly appreciated.
