Can't say i ever notice my 2014 Passat losing power. Its supposed to use a bit more fuel whilst its burning in the D.P.F. An AA man who came out to our "new" 2015 said that it needs to have 40 minutes run whilst already warmed up and be between 2000 and 3000 revs in lower gears to do an effective regen.Meanwhile that vehicle IS still with Vertu trying to get the DPF and EGR valve sorted out under warranty!!!

Higher fuel consumption , reduced torque and power and drivability , cost of dpf replacement , turbo damage through excessive back pressure and camshaft and bearing wear through soot and fuel getting into the engine oil .
