Whilst travelling along an open road in light traffic the glass sun roof of my 10 month old EOS exploded and showered me in glass, damaging the rest of my roof and boot. Taking the car to my local VAG dealer they have told me that it is not covered under the warrenty. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes it is something I have heard of before. You have posted on the VWAUDI forum about this haven’t you? How has it damaged the roof and boot? Slight scratches? Talk to VW customer services.

The roof immediately behind the sunroof has two long scratches along it and the boot had a gouge where a lump of glass bounced on to it
