I've been offered a set of vw/audi alloys, 14". I've got a mk III golf (1996) with 13" steel wheels. They're both 4 stud, but will I be able to put the bigger wheels on my car without too much dicking around?
If they are genuine wheels, they will have a part number on them so can you post it? If not there should be a width measurement and an ET number so post those instead. If they are from an Audi, they could be a different stud pattern as VW used a 4x100M12 PCD and Audi mostly used a 4x108M14 PCD.
Unfortunately, without any identification, part number, width or ET number I can't advise you. All I can say is that a 6 x 14 ET 38 4 x 100 M12 wheel with 185/60 14 tyres won’t give you any problems.
Thanks anyway, I'm just going to go over next week and have a look, try one one (they're about 25 miles from where I live) but at £40 the set, worth a snoop.
Joe
