That is because you have been reading tinterweb posts about Passat’s, on the Golf 4 and Bora it is up under the dash to the right of the steering column. Have you checked the fuses?

    Re: bora convenience module

They can be affected by water dripping down from the wiring conduit box so if you have had water dripping onto the floor on the drivers side that may be the cause. First of all you need to get a fault code read done, that is if the convenience module will communicate. There are quite a few fuses, number 37 (30A) above the relay plate under the dash plus fuses 5, 6, 11, 14, 30, 37, 38 and 44 in the main fuse array at the side of the dash

hi, ive checked all the fuses again, checked the two 15 amp fuses under the dash, checked the convenience module for any signs of damp but everything is is fine. but still no power to windows or mirrors and remote central locking. it looks like i'll have to get the fault code read but is there anything else i can try before i take it? cheers.

    Re: bora convenience module

You will have to get the remotes coded into the new convenience unit which is done using a registered copy of VAG-COM or similar.
