    Very informative post. I get tired of the facebook groups full with posters who scare VW owners that something is wrong with their vehicle due to the fix if DPF regen occurs often without realising driving style, road conditions etc all have an impact. I have noticed if I do long motorway journeys, regens occur every 450 miles. If town and city driving, every 150 miles at best.

    Daft thing is only one VIN has to be legable for MOT so the main VIN with the manufacturers smoke coefficient value and axle weights info could be removed , leaving the windscreen interior VIN , absolutely ludicrous.
