    Why EGR problems are happening post-'fix'?

    I reckon this guy's nailed it:

    Different levels of soot build-up causing very different behaviour when more flow is demanded than before.

    Anyone disagree?

    Nope .

    And that's why a 1970's out of date vacuum operated design belongs in the bin .

    There are more modern better aftertreatments for NOx .
