Auto close Sunroof and Windows if it rains (Via Rain sensor)

    Hi Guys,
I am trying to activate auto window close and auto sunroof close, due to me forgetting to close the sunroof and windows last night and my front seats got wet including my door cards too !

I saw a video on youtube, and i have VCDS, and here is what steps i followed.
Go to 09-Cent. Elect. --> Coding - 07 --> (drop down menu left to 0) Long Coding Helper --> 4) ... got to Byte 4 --> selected bit 5 and bit 6 (which refer to Windows/Sunroof via Rainsensor) --> then exit --> then Do It!
from the Do It!, i initially had an option to for a Yes or No. here is the message i got below
    VCDS: Re-Code Invalid
This appears to be an uninitialized control module
valid WSC/Importer/Equipment data may be required.

Click [Yes] for VCDS to use default values of 12345/123/12345.
Click[No] for VCDS to try the values currently in the module.
Click [Cancel] to go back and manually edit the values.

I clicked 'No' to keep original values, and code was accepted.

The next step was to Go to 09-Cent. Elect. --> Coding - 07 --> drop down menu - select number 2 --> Long Coding Helper --> 4) ... got to Byte 4 --> select bit 2 (which refer to Rain Closeing Active) --> then exit --> then Do It!
Here, i got an error message as follows
    VCDS
    Coding rejected
    Error 31:Request out of range

With this error message, i have to click okay and thus cannot proceed.

Can anyone shed some light onto a solution to fix this code rejected response, so that i can get this code accepted ?

here is the youtube video link too

I get things like this with VCDS, often on non US sold models the coding info is wrong, VCDS have really fallen behind other products on the market like VAG PRO and it has always been a be unreliable on European market models.

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.

hazarding a guess, I should have clicked yes on first pop up instead of no . that may let me do the second step, but when I try to undo and redo the first step, I don't get the pop up yes or no option....bugger!....I'll maybe look into the diagnostic tool you mentioned. I'm sure there is a solution but hopefully someone might know a solution with my current vcds I can try. thanks
