    Error message with infotainment system

    Hi all,

My VW Polo infotainment system is not working. Just keeps flashing on and off a red screen with message saying...
‘No valid update found. Please insert valid update’
    ‘Will reset now’

But nothing happens. Have tried holding power button down to reset but no change.

Does this have a quick fix or do I need to have it checked out?

    Thanks in advance

I think you'll have to provide us with some more information

What year was your Polo made, and which infotainment system does it have??

My first thought was that it was referring to a map update, and you had inserted the wrong SD card... but do you have a satnav system??

Yeah sorry the 2013 Polo model and The infotainment is just the ‘composition media’ and has no satnav.

Thanks for that info... in that case I haven't a clue why it is trying to update itself

Luckily you've posted in the correct section.

I changed 2014 to 2013 as that's what you car spec says.

Hi, My father inlaw has this issue with his infotainment system. it flashes blue and red and will not reset. it also will not turn off even when the car is off and locked. was there a resolution to this at all? any help is appreciated. The battery has also gone flat as the system does not turn off.

    Thanks.
