    Hi,
It seems my model (SE not highline) doesn't allow access to the MFD menu to change the "conveneince" setting. Some do some don't, from what I can see.
I decided to wait and check out that the windows do actually open without contact with the key fob.
I checked it out last night. Closed the windows, placed the key on the dresser and checked the car. All was good.
Went to bed, got up at 6am and found all windows open and it was raining... arghhhh!!
Anyways, I've ordered the VCDS interface from Swansea.
When I spoke with Volks dealer a couple of weeks back they wanted 99 for diagnosis then whatever costs for repair.
So decided, pretty sharpish this morning!!, to order the ross tech hex-v2 vcds inteface.
I'll post when I get the gubins and hopefully resolve the issue.
    Cheers for now.

Hope this won't confuse you because our cars are "different" but the option to disable convenience setting on mine is done via the infotainment screen as I described in a previous post.
I never actually tried to change this setting on the MFD screen. I used the infotainment screen.

On the Golf 6 I have seen the convenience menu in the dash MFD display and used the steering controls to access the menu, I havn’t ever altered the settings here though, I just go into the menu to check the service data is correct after I have reset it on the PC.

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.

I've read on a youtubby video, by volks, that only the highline dash allows the mfd to be accessed and make changes to it!
I'll change it with the VCDS interface this week.
