    Hi guys has any one ever has their HPFP fail or on the way out on a 1.6 TDi ???
    After watching a video on YouTube if the HPFP is in the way out you would find small metal fragments in the fuel filter which are pushed around the fuel lines.
    They also cause block ups in the injectors and cause a misfire.
    Upon inspecting the fuel filter I did find small metal fragments in there

    Hi guys

    I got my car back last night after being in the garage for 10 days.
    iv had my original injectors tested which came back fine with no faults.
    on the vag computer fault in injector 2 was keeping coming up so I replaced injector 2 with a used 53k Miles injector.
    iv also replaced the High Presure Fuel Pump from a running car.
    But the knocking & low rev missing still there.
    once the car is warm the misfire goes away but the knocking at 1000 rpm is still there ??

    I have 35 error codes for Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
    2010 Golf GTD (170) CBBB, 5 Door, Shadow Blue (P6/D5Q), Transmission Code: KXZ, Flat Tyre Indicator, Basic Protection Pack + VCDS.

    First let me declare that I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DIESELS and very little about anything else .
    However, I've been following this thread with interest and, unless I've missed a post, although injectors have been checked both electrically and physically, there's been no mention of checking the ECU. My limited knowledge only extends to the ECU being responsible for controlling the amount and timing of each injector's fuel delivery.
    Not sure if this relevant, someone will probably object, but I'm just reaching for an understanding.
