T5 Check oil level warning lamp

I have a 64 plate T5 DSG 180. The oil lamp has come on. I have checked oil level which was only just under the upper limit. Iv put in about 200ml and us now on the upper limit on the dipstick. When I switch ignition on the oil lamp indicator is still coming on. Any ideas???

Check the intactness of the level sensor wiring near the connector on the sump.

Unless the dashboard see’s that the bonnet has been opened, the warning system WILL NOT reset no matter what! The bonnet switch is open to all kinds of **** being thrown at it so make sure it works.
