    I tried the cold air and aircon on and could still smell fumes, I then turned the control panel to off and didnít notice the fumes.
    Crasher, Iím being a bit of a technophobe and canít see where to pm you.

    Interesting, your car has the electric additional air heater option PR-7E6 BUT has NO option PR-9M? so, WITHOUT auxiliary heater/parking heater which destroys my theory... start again!

    Looks like I must have a leaky exhaust then. Doesn’t sound like it’s blowing though.

    I would be surprised if it was unless it has had the DPF removed, do you know if it has?

    Finally got to the bottom of it! I can now hear the exhaust blowing at the n/s manifold.

    Can you see any sings of a nasty black goo coming from a hole? These engines suffer from blowing injectors where a goo will ooze out of a special drain hole and burn on the manifold.

    There is gunk on the manifold and a noticeable “phut phut phut” as the engine runs and visible smoke. Was hoping it was simply a manifold gasket. Does that mean a replacement injector or can it be repaired?
