2005 Golf Rear Washer issue - wiper only going once when sprayed

    Hi guys

I'm new here but thought I would see if anyone has any advice about how I might sort out a really annoying problem with my Golf.

When I activate the rear washer, the wiper will only wipe once then stop. This issue started just before Christmas. Previously, for as long as the washer was squirting fluid the wiper would continue to go back and forth.

Any ideas how I can fix this please? I have to currently fiddle about quickly pulling the lever back to activate the wiper again and again and again to ensure it cleans and the fluid doesn't just spray everywhere. Had no accidents or work done that could have affected it so I really don't know why this would suddenly happen?! And it's not like the motor has broken because the wiper still goes, but only once!

    Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It is an odd system, when you look at the wiring diagram it is confusing the way the washer and wiper work so check fuse 41 in the dash side fuse board.

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.
