    Mk5 door lock actuator

Iíve been reading through threads on this topic but havenít found the exact answer Iím looking for, Iím looking to fix my drivers side door lock actuator, the motor inside the unit is still working but now has a dead spot in it so you have to spin it to get it to work? Has anyone ever just changed the motor inside it and if so what motor did you use? Thanks!

change the complete actuator as itll be a good age by now. Ive had to change both fronts as they stopped responding to the fob. I read that the inner board soldering would crack Door skin screws are different sizes so take care when replacing

Yea I reckon so, but Iíve done a small bit of probing and maybe it could be the door loom as 05 cars had a badly designed loom? The light for the central locking doesnít flash on the door nor does the light turn yellow on the door when you press lock?

Update: took the door skin off today and pulled back the loom through, luckly it was a broken wire!! Soldered in a patch and heat shrinked it up and itís good as new!
