Heater issues - Dual climate control

    Hi all,

First post, i'm sure you'll all be able to help and have some ideas.

My GTD has dual climate control and the passenger side is working fine but the drivers sider is noticeably cooler than the passenger side. VW have the car and have reported that the temp sensor on the drivers side is not going above 21.8*C when the temp setting is put to high but the passenger side is. The tubes leading to the matrix in the passenger footwell are both hot.

They are now quoting that they would need over £1k to strip the dash to do further investigation without actually knowing what the issue could be!!! quoting it could be the matrix with one of the flaps not working or the control unit not working.

Would a coolant flush help do you think?

    thanks

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

The Mk7 Golf heater matrix does give a problem, that's bee talked about on here if you search. When was the pollen filter last changed?

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

Your car spec says 0, only what I've added from this post 2015 Caddy minus engine size/type.
