    VR6 3.2 FSI 4motion 2009 Wagon

Just wanted to say that this car has moved my soul. Not since stamping down hard on the accelerator of my first Saab 99 turbo have I experienced something quite as joyous as driving this car.
Yes, I know you can't get them in the UK. This is a Japanese import into New Zealand.
Yes, it does have O2 sensor and cat issues. I don't feckin care!
I bought it as a 'damaged repairable' vehicle from the national auction people her in New Zealand for $3,045. It has 73,000 kms on the clock. The only issue is this persistent 'check engine' light that I get every few days.

All I can say fellow Brits is ;- If you ever get the chance to own or drive a car with the VR6 engine. Do it!

We had the R36 here which according to https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicl...at_r36_fsi_s-a there were only 152 sold and there are only 129 left, me thinks it is time to find one... tempting https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...onsored&page=1

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.

    Yep. You should.
On some of the other forums, particularly the Aussie one. they prefer the 3.2 engine over the 3.6 or R 36. Reason being, the vastly superior fuel consumption for a small drop in power.
I love all the tech stuff as well, it all works well and the interior is sooo comfortable. We have a Mercedes CLS 550 as the family car, there is more room in the passat, it handles better and has better mid range acceleration. The CLS would out drag it after 200 meters but the VW would leave it for dead on the start line.
