    Throttle Body 1.4 TSI 160

My 59 plate Scirocco went into limp mode while driving a couple of weeks back. On diagnosis the throttle body needs replaced. After going into the garage and getting parts that end with the letter a, b and d none have been the right size. The bore diameter of the one currently in the car is 60mm but the depth is 72mm yet every one they’ve received from a supplier has had a depth of 85. Any help on how to source the right one?

Read the part number off the existing one?
Posting your engine code (see data sticker on boot floor) would be a good way to make it possible for folks to look up part numbers to help you. You could even look the part number up yourself via 7zap.com or another of the ETKA clone sites.

BTW, prepare to be yelled at by Keith for not posting an introduction in the required sub-forum. (See "Want to join ? read first..." tab at the top of the page for clues on this.

Thanks for that. I’ll call the garage in the morning and get them to give me that info. I’ll go adhere to the rules now!
