Hard Wiring Nextbase dashcam into Mk 6 Golf Cabriolet

    Hi there,

I've just bought a 2014 Golf Cabriolet and love it!

I'd like to hardwire a Nextbase 312GW dashcam to the fuse box, routing the cable behind the trim around the windscreen. I've bought the Nextbase installation kit. Halfords unfortunately refused to fit it, saying the trim is too rigid to hide the cable behind.

Has anyone managed to do this please? If so, can you please give me any hints or tips on the best way to do it?

    Many thanks,
    Sandy

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

People use the cigarette socket to power dash cams.

You need to find a fused circuit to power it from, so you will need a wiring diagram or fuse and relay layout.
