Power loss along with a diesel knock / rattle

Hello, I'm wondering if any of you have had a similar issue with the 2.0tdi engine that is fitted to the tiguan around 2015. The issue I'm having is that when accelerating you get a diesel knock / rattle sound along with power loss. I have noticed that when the car does a regeneration cycle the power appears to come back slightly but not brilliant, the turbo can be heard starting to spool but then cuts out until the throttle is released and depressed again.

The car has been back to VW dealership around 6 times but they are not interested. An independent specialist has also had a look at the car with no joy. The independent specialist has checked all vac lines, and boost pipework. The map and mass air flow sensor have been changed. I have noticed the diesel rattle / knock to stop on regeneration cycles. Hopefully someone has a better understanding of these engines.

I forgot to add, there are no warning lights or stored fault codes on the car.

    Many thanks
    Ash

So it has had the emissions recall done then... Quote the disinterested dealer TPI 2043053/1 relating to "various complaints about engine after software update (Campaign 23R7)" and watch them squirm in their seat... Also TPI 2021663/25 should be carried out which deals with "Loud noises (pinking) when accelerating lightly between 1800 and 2000 rpm"

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Your car spec says 0. Can I suggest that you add your car spec to your signature as it will save users asking every time, if you know the engine code that will also be great? Oh you can't do this of a phone. Adding your car spec

Thank you for your reply Crasher. As far as i am aware the vehicle hasn't had any emissions recall done, i have had the car since September 2018. I wasnt aware there was an emissions recall for the EA288 TDI engine (CUVC).
