I'm back! (but the car's still on driveway). Rain, cricket and football has dampened my appetite some but finished car off yesterday. Sadly it wont start. I tried some easy start which started it for a few seconds only. Code reader shows P2034 (powertrain, turbo overboost) as I had no problem before, always started first flick, could this be something I've done wrongly?

Overboost is a bit premature considering it does not run.

Is it not possible the ECU picked it up in the few seconds it did run? I know these codes cover many things but obviously it's to do with powertrain is it possibly the tandem pump? I'm gonna lift the back seat to try and hear the fuel pump (in some thread I saw). I'll clear the fault code and try again

Do the ECU comms shut down when it stops? 8v PDTDI tandem pump failure is actually very rare, I have only replaced a handful over the years I have dealt with them.
