    Fault codes.

Hi I'm just wondering if there anyway you can check if there's any fault codes stored on my 15 plate passat. I've searched the Internet but can't find anything. I know on my old car (61 plate zaffy) yes I'm sorry, I owned a vauxhall. You had to hold the clutch and brake in together or something along those lines. Ive had the car 7 month with no issues with the but just wanted to see if anything is on there. Cheers

No you need a code reading system, VCDS is the best even upto pro level but there are cheaper systems, some good, some terrible.

As said: You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
