    Spray paint

Could anyone recommend a source of aerosol paint in Shark Blue for a Mark 6 golf TSI? I have the touch-up pen already.

There are a few websites but they don't fill me with confidence. Also the VW dealer nearest to me just shrugged and said they don't sell it.

    Grateful for help!

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Your car spec says: 2010 Golf 1.4 TDI now your saying its TSI, which I've changed.

Go to a body shop with the paint code of the data sticker. Data Sticker/Options Sticker and Engine Codes

See if they do an aerosol?

Thanks for that, it is not a diesel though, it's definitely TSI. It runs on petrol.

Sorry, I don't understand about the introductions and getting a free fix.

    Trade Parts Specialist.
Geared towards the trade side of genuine VW parts and equipment.
Source a reputable independent bodyshop with a paint code as Keith says and a dealer should be able to help with this. There are many VW dealerships around if your local one is less than helpful.

A "free fix" is a reference to folk who appear on the forum, get a "free" answer to their question from experts (not me) and then disappear into the ether rather than take part and contribute to possibly assist others.
Just make an introduction with accurate details of the car(s) you own or drive.

You can’t buy retail from TPS anymore, due to complaints from the trade many companies are now cracking down on retail sales of parts. You can buy a spray set (base coat and clear) from the main dealer and they should have done this without any question using your REG number, part number LLS 0M6 A5Q at £17.64.

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.

Thanks for that. Alas, I would not be much use to assist others with anything technical! I thought it would be OK to just ask about paint spray but if more is expected I can't really help, sorry.

    Don't panic.
Perhaps just let us know how you get on and that alone may well help others with similar issues.
You have received a detailed and informative answer from the forum expert so it is usually nice if you thank him as he and others have day jobs and do this type of forum work in their spare time FOC.

Thanks for that. I've managed to find a company called Xtreme Auto Accessories who do their own paint sprays and are sending it and the clear lacquer spray by Yodel. They appear to be based in Eniskillen. They came up when I entered the paint code and name. Hope it matches!
