Golf mk6 1.6 TDI injector noise when start the car

    Hi All,

I need your help, as no one else helped me until now .

I have a mk6 golf, 230,000 km. Last month the car started to give a strong noise when start the car until to 2000 rpm. It seems that the noise is comming from injector.

I made a scan with VCDS and the value are as below:

    Injector 1= -1.56 mg/stroke
    Injector 2= 0.58 mg/stroke
    Injector 3= 3.04 mg/stroke
    Injector 4= -2.53 mg/stroke

My ECU version is: 1.6L R4 CR TD H23 8862

From the above value it seems that injector 3 is faulty????

What about ECU do i need to update, as in some forum i read that also ECU version is related with this issue.

Let me know in case something else it is needded.

    Thank you in advance,

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Your car spec says 0, only what I've added from this post.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

Post moved to correct section as OP can't read sub fourm titles.

CAYC injectors are a joke, you have at least two dead there, maybe three. Avoid reconditioned units like the plague and fit genuine VW or genuine Siemens VDO that come in a sealed box with a sealed packet inside. Quite often my supplier sends me these in packets that are open, sent back by garages using the swap a part technique of diagnostics. In two instances, the injector in the packet was an old one sent back for credit!

Thanks Crasher for the feedback. I have another concern, because one of the guy here told me that maybe this injector issie is comming from fuel pump, because when the car is cold the injectors are working fine. Only when the car reach 90 the injector start to give that noise. Also this noise is only between 1000-2000 RPM, if i will pass 2000 rpm than the noise will disapear. Do u have any idea? I have scanned with vcds and there are NO any other error.

The high pressure fuel pumps are also a reliability joke and a liability! has it had a fuel filter or miss fuelling incident recently?

No idea,i bought the car 3 months ago, and it was ru ning fine, without any issue. Just 2 weeks ago i fueled the car full 60 liter and i put also 250ml of that juice which is for diesel clean (i dont remember the name), imediatelly after that day it start the issue with injector. Do u think that " fuel clean juice" have destroied any fuel pump or injector? If yes is there anyway how to clean again without changing the injectors?
