    EGR removal

    2011 Polo 1.2 TDI, CFWA

I've read that removing the EGR valve is not an MOT failure.

Is the removal of the EGR on a CFWA engine feasible?

I had a word with the auto sparky we use. They don't do remap work.

They said if needed, they'd fit a new VW EGR or a Pierburg brand unit which the sparky said, actually supply VW.

The Pierburg brand unit seems to be around the 200 ball park if I buy online and fit it myself.

VW, I recall quoted around 300+ part X so presumably they take used ones in and clean them out.

Removing any legally mandated emissions device is illegal and an MOT failure plus it is an environmental crime, not only that it is a https://www.volkswagenforum.co.uk/sh...ad.php?t=11638
