    Abs/esp and handbrake light flashing!

The fault code 01130 just saying there is a fault in the abs, the garage have said I would need a new abs pump, I was just wondering if anyone would know if a 2006 2.0 tdi abs pump would fit into my 2008 1.9 tdi, Volkswagen arenít giving me a straight answer and saying I wouldnít recommend it purely to save there own back if anything goes wrong. If anyone would know that would be much appreciated. Thank you

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Your car spec says 0, only what I've added from this post.

Can I suggest that you add your car spec to your signature as it will save users asking every time, if you know the engine code that will also be great? Oh you can't do this of a phone. Adding your car spec

I think I’ve set it all up correctly, what do you mean first post normally go in introductions, I could get a free fix and not see you again? I just changed the fuses and nothing, the garage said they reckon it’s a abs pump which they quoted was £800 for a new one

You have to be crazy to buy a brand new one when you can pick up a second hand one for about £50.

Is there anyway I can check the part number without taking it out of the car?

The part number will be on the fault code report and if you private message me your REG number I can tell you what you have.

The genuine part number for a complete new pump unit was 1K0 614 517 BD but new it is now 1K0 614 517 BJ I am a little sceptical as to whether it needs the full unit and not just the repair kit as it is not a commonly seen fault code.

The garage have said it will need a new one but Iím unsure if thatís them trying to rip me off? Itís going into another trusty garage tomorrow and see what they say but my mates mk5 golf 2.0 tdi needs a new flywheel so he said he will sell the complete car to me for £200 as he doesnít need it and said the abs pump is okay so Iím unsure if that one will fit bc it would work out cheaper to do that then get new one
