    Confusing tyre pressures

    Hi

Wife’s 2015 Polo has 38/35 on petrol cap (not tyre specific) but 28/28 when you search on line. Noticed this phenomenon before. Which should I trust?

    Thanks

Use the one specific to you wife’s model on the Petrol cap. Rule of thumb for car tyre pressures; the lower the profile, the higher the pressure.

Thanks. Normally the petrol cap quotes pressures for different tyre sizes, but not with Polo for some reason. (Only one tyre?) Also such a big range between the two pressures cited.

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Your car spec says 0, only what I've added from this post, minus engine size/type.

As said the tyre pressures are shown on the filler flap or on a sticker on the door jam or read the handbook.
