    Beetle window probs

Dunno if this has been covered but last week we had a keen frost and I started to noticed on my 2012 Beetle, the windows should drop about an inch to enable the doors to open, I found on YouTube a guy in America had bought a new one in 2013 had similar problems, he had took it back to the dealer 3 times and was eventually told he wouldn't be able to use the car during the winter months.
Anyway, It's forecast for frost up here tonight and I start work at around 2am, have just been out and smeared Vaseline inside the window seals, closed the windows and sprayed a pre frost treatment on them, hopefully this will stop them sticking and the pinch sensor kicking in.

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.

Well that worked a treat,,,,,,,,,,NOT!!!!!!!!,,,,,,,slight frost this morning, went out to car and nadda !,,,,,windows refused to open just like in the video, I was able to get into the boot to access my de-icer and it took 15 mins of spraying and scraping around the seals to get the windows free and doors to open, I work shifts so how's that gonna work at dark o'clock on a frozen morning 35 miles from home after a 12 hour shift.
Am looking at vids now on tips for frozen doors, gonna try the silicon spray around the seals now in an effort to keep the moisture out.
