How to look after new used 2014 Golf 1.6 TDI

    Hey everyone,

I just bought a used 2014 Golf TDI for 5k that has 120k miles.

It's my first car and I want this car to last a very long time. I don't know a lot about cars. Can anyone tell me how I should look after it? Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi there,
What i would do after purchase:
Change timing belt and water pump
    Oil change
    Fuel filter
    Air filter
    Polen filter
    Brake flush
    Check brake pads/discs
    Scan with VCDS
    AND THEN:
Oil change and air filter every 10k
    Polen and Fuel filter-20k
Best to get proper garage for that all and use quality parts

    Sorry guys. It's a 2014 Golf 1.6 TDI.

Additional info: I just filled it up today after the fuel gauge indicator was almost touching the red area. The dashboard showed 600 Miles based on the full tank.
