    Mk7 GTD Bilstein or Koni?

    Hi all,

    just bought a 2013 Mk7 GTD 2.0 TDI and want to replace the suspension with either Bilstein or Koni. Can anyone recommend and does anyone have pics of their GTD lowered?

    Personally we have had very good results with our customers cars when using the Koni FSD, now called the Active, these are designed to work with standard springs and are very effective.
    2003 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate. APR 98RON remap, APR R1 diverter valve, Jetex exhaust, K&N panel filter, 7.5x18 Alutec Monstr wheels with 225/40 18 Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres.
    2006 Polo GTI 1.8T, APR 95RON remap
    1988 Golf 2 GTI 16 valve, 2.2 with Weber Alpha injection
    1983 Golf 1 GTI 8 valve, 2 litre with Eurospec racing 42/36 head
    1972 1302LS auto 1641cc conversion

    Vile Invention

    Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal.     Sorry I should have mentioned that I want to lower the care too. I'm looking at the Koni yellows with a 35mm drop.

    In that case we would fit the KW street comfort or their ST kit. If you wanted to go hi tech then the KW DCC conversion is brilliant but it is quite involved to install. The ST system is very affordable and easy to install and live with, you have to be careful not to destroy the ride quality https://www.kwsuspensions.co.uk/shop...sions/23210548

    Thanks for the reply. What is the difference between the ST Black Edition kit and the ST Sport kit?

    It is simply black springs so that if it went into VW it does not attract too much attention. The listing on their web site is out of date as they now do 20 or 30mm drops and these are all to order from Germany and takes about 7 days, ignore the 4 days bit. You can buy it from us for the same price and the shipping direct to you from Der Fatherland is 18.60 or if you are within striking distance of Nottingham, you can collect or even have us fit it https://www.candrenterprises.co.uk

    Thanks again for the reply. What I'm looking for is to take up the gap in the arches and not too firm a ride. In your opinion would you go for Koni yellows or the ST kit? Also what drop do you recommend? Do you know of any pics tha could help me decide? Sorry for all the questions
