The inside diameter is always the same, it is the OD of the bush that varies according to type, metal or plastic casing. If you are fitting Powerflex use these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswage...item56c5fe05e1

    Hi

Thanks for your reply yes that is what I was thinking , but there are VETECH: GS530VG0090 Bushes with a steel outer shell and they are 72mm OD , then there is the MEYLE: Bush MFK00030 with a plastic outer shell and they are also 72mm ! .

    Cheers

The original bush 1J0 501 541 B was a steel outer case 72mm as was the plastic bodied C but this changed to the Polo 6R part number 6R0 501 541 A Which is a Meyel 114 710 0001/S (trade number MFK0030) and we fit the Febe 31722 kit. Don't buy steel hydro versions though as they are unreliable and evil to fit. Mind you the plastic bodies ones are also evil to fit, this is why you see people like Powerflex mention the 69mm ones as they are easier to fit. Pushing the 72mm plastic ones is takes a lot of patience and I use a suitable sized Mikalor type band clip around them to stop them flaring out when trying tio get them in, this is why the 69mm Powerflex version is so popular but I find they make the rear end twitchy.

The alignment of the 6R type bush is critical and remember, only tighten the pinch bolts with the car on the floor.
