    63 Polo problem

Hi, my girlfriend has got a 63 plate Polo 3 door. When we had the cold snap the other day she done the window down and it got stuck (told her not to). She couldn’t then get the window up. Now the window is not working and the passenger door (same side) won’t lock. I’v brought and sold and fixed cars for years but just not had the time to strip it down yet. Any recommendations on what to look for as once iv stripped I have got to get the parts and fit the same evening if possible.

    thanks

Normally I would say the cable had gone but the motor should make crunching noises and it won't affect the lock so to start with you need a system code read.

Spray some WD40 in the pas. door lock and wait till its a little warmer and try again.

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Your car spec says 0, only what I've added from this post, minus engine size/type.

As suggested: You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

Post moved to the correct section as its not a general question.
