    Stage 3 clutch

Hi, I wondered if anybody had any feedback on having fitted a stage 3 clutch to their Caddy.
I am having one fitted and despite being assured, some people are now saying it will be terrible on a daily drive?

    Many thanks

    W

Hi Gazwould, to be honest Im not sure, I asked the dealer to remap to give the van better performance and mpg, however after 1k miles the clutch has started slipping when accelerating down a slip road!
i would say as a guess its reaching 180 bhp with a lot more torque than previously, hence being guided to a stage three clutch.
sorry for my ignorance as Ive only just started taking an interest in vehicle performance and I am really reliant on advice.

Its nice to see you made an intro on your own.

What are you calling a Stage 3 clutch?

Stage 3 sounds extreme , link to product ?

    And what's your mileage ?

You are probably around 295 lbft which isn't extreme .

I am guessing this is the white Caddy we finished this afternoon? I have not driven it but Matt the mechanic who did it was very impressed and happy with the action, slightly more sharp on take off but the old one was toast and had burnt out the flywheel causing spot hardness tempering of the friction surface. Cutting the rear bump stops down has improved the squeaking from the back. It is one of these, we’ll not quite but I can’t see the listing for the exact one

I have just tried it, you would not believe it had a 5 puck plate, feels like original.

Hi Crasher, yes thats my vehicle.
Thankyou so much for doing the work, and also taking care of the suspension.
Look forward to picking it up, it sounds like a few of my mates that had me wondering if I'd done the right thing were misguided!
Should know to stick to expert advise!
Thanks again, and see you guys soon
