If this comes up without putting the engine under extreme stress, assuming your wiring at the ECU is correct then I would suspect the Thrust sensor you fitted. Where did you buy it, what make is it and do you have the part number off of the unit and off of the supplier packaging?

The fan kicks in as soon as the engines on the map sensor is a bosch it says 0 261 230 266 then underneath that 190618T095216 A the MAP sensor was brought about 2 - 3 months ago from a car part shop not sure of the name of the place

You should not regard it as a MAP sensor as it is a dual unit incorporating the MAP and IAT, VAG call it a "thrust" sensor, who knows why? You engine could would be BKC and so should take sensor VAG number 038 906 051 B which was revised to a 03G 906 051 D which is a Bosch 0 261 230 266 so you have the correct sensor according to the cross reference of 03G 906 051 D but the original 038 906 051 B is a Bosch 0 281 002 399 as well as a 0 261 230 266 so it concerns me the cross refernce is wrong, I will investigate so can you private message me your reg number.

I have checked the genuine number for the sensor on ETKA FI Suggestion using your VIN and the VAG OE number is now 03G 906 051 D which according to Bosch is their 0 261 230 266, so you need to keep digging. Did I ever get you to check the wiring at the 14 pin plug near the battery? Did you run the new cable direct from the Thrust sensor to the ECU?

Thanks what do you think it could be down to i didnt have this code until the wiring was done before i had codes P0236 and P0238 which you suggested to change wiring from vw that solved my problem and codes was cleared but i dont know where to look next and yes from thrust sensor straight to ecu the wiring was brought from vw (part number 1kd 971 658 ) and whats that 14 pin plug for thanks

If you have gone direct the 14 pin plug has been eliminated. How did you incorporate the pins at the ECU? The brown to ECU 9476 and yellow to ECU 94/38 are for the IAT sender.

Yes the brown to 94/76 yellow to 94/38 and the other 2 purple 94/78 and black/grey to 94/62 could it be down to the 14 pin plug now but theres 2 yellow wires next to each other at 94/38 and the fan kicks in as soon as the engines on... I dont no what else to look for everytime i search for the code its coming up IAT sensor which theres no information about it for my car but i dont see why when replacing the wiring harness from thrust sensor brings up P0113 if its a new harness would it be ok to drive around with the code on
