    Mk IV Golf Shock Absorbers

    Hi,

Trying to find the part numbers for front & rear shocks on my Mk 4 Golf. I tried the usual https://volkswagen.7zap.com/ etc but for some reason my VIN (WVWZZZ1JZ3B167379) isn't recognised. Because this is a 2003, do they timeout of the ETKA eventually?

Clues I can give from the options sticker:

    G86 Front sports shock absorption
L08 Suspension range 08 installation control only no requirement forecast
UB1 Rear shock absorption for sports design

I read somewhere that L08 could mean (but not sure): front axle weight class>weight range: 726-785kg

I'm not looking to lower the ride height further or make any other modifications; I just want some quality OEM replacements for the originals.

By the way, the car is on ~210k miles and is still on the original shocks / springs. The springs look OK but I have definitely noticed more bounce in the suspension lately because of the shocks.

    Any help appreciated

https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/ keep this in your favorites/bookmarks for reference. It shows the same picture layout as ETKA. As it will save me checking ETKA, which isn't working with the new 8.2 version

PR Code: G86 Group: DFV Description: Front sports shock absorption
PR Code: L08 Group: GKV Description: Suspension range 08 installation control only, no requirement forecast
PR Code: UB1 Group: DFH Description: Rear shock absorption for sports design
