    Question Fuel Gauge?

Pre History- all was well before the lockdown.

Since the lockdown, Poppy (it's the wifes car.) The battery went flat due to non-use. It was recharged and since then, the fuel gauge sticks at half way until you turn on the ignition. Then it moves past the full point and stops in the 6 o'clock position and the EML is on as well?

    Any theories???

I just wanted to eliminate the possibility of ECU spiking. If you disconnect the battery, does the gauge return to 0?

And just for the fun of it, I drove my wifes bug yesterday, filling it up with petrol and a can for emergency....... And the gauge is back to normal!!!

But the washer bottle is now leaking!! so I recon that the bottle or pipe has gone.
