    golf mk 7 5g

    HI all, newbie here. Just bought a 66 plate golf mk7 2.0 tdi. Can anyone shed any light on what the 5g means . Apologies if this is a stupid question.....🙄

    The Golf 7 saloon as a type 5G or to be more precise a type 5G1 and there is a second section to the type number which ties it down more specifically such as 88X for a GTD 2L TDI with Blue Motion Technology. On a sticker in the boot or in the service book, you will find the full type number.

    Cheers for that crasher. Was just wondering as I've bought a lowering kit and the 5g through me a little bit. It was just in brackets at the end .

    Your car spec says 0, only what I've added from this thread.

    Your to late I've already added it along with your Transporter T4 now you have made an intro.

    Look at the data sticker Data Sticker/Options Sticker and Engine Codes that will show all the vehicle details year made not 66 plate, engine code, transmission/gearbox code and PR Codes.
