    2013 beetle battery drain

    hi,as anyone had the car diagram on the dash stay on when doors are locked.we have had the battery draining after a day and this light which shows when the doors are open is constantly on when not using the vehicle.alternator as been checked and also the battery,any help appreciated.

    Your car spec says: 08 plate Transporter T5 1.9 TDI.

    Your asking about 2013 Beetle 1.6 TDI.

    Are you trying to fix someone else's?

    That will need circuit drain investigation until the culprit line is identified and the draining component identified, I don’t know of a common issue.

    As I've said your car spec said Your car spec says: 08 plate Transporter T5 1.9 TDI.

    Which you have now removed, I've added the new car spec.

    we have had this carried out,which shows an acceptable loss.But we where wandering if the car display which shows when the doors are open should be continually on which ours is.it is on continous untill the key is inserted.

    No that isn’t right, the dash is not shutting down which could be the dash itself or the CAN BUS.
