    Engine replacement

    Best way to remove engine and gearbox please out the top or drop it down? 1.2 59 plate.

    I take the subframe out with the car on a 2 post and the engine attached to the crane and drop it out from below onto a steel frame.

    Thatís great , Iím hoping I can drop it then on my 4 post, the lift the ramp of it , did this on a multipla, hereís hoping thanks!

    I have very little experience of a 4 post but I imagine it will get in the way... mind you, better than working on your back with the car 6 inches off the ground... those were the days that ruined my back.

    Snap , I am 68 and only installed my ramp only last year , should have been 20 yrs ago .What a help , still never been in the right place To put it!

    Your car spec says 2004 Polo 9N 1.2 BBM, Petrol.

    Which 59 plate 1.2 are you taking about?

    Sorry that was the last one I was working on , it is a 59 plate , no further details available at the moment.
