That is the dealer level system ODIS in GFF but I don’t think it is working properly... and with ODIS that comes as no surprise which is why I use VCDS and only resort to ODIS if absolutely necessary; it is a system that can really make you lose the will to live! I need to study it but I have to rip up the stairs and landing carpet first.

    Thanks Crasher,

Indeed, it is frustrating to say the least and I can see why you stick with VCDS. Nonetheless, please let me know your findings and should you need me to get a VCDS after analysing the report I can do so although I rather save myself from the charge. It seems money is flying out my pockets lately

It needs someone who knows how to use the diagnostic equipment, it is no use barking at fault codes as they can be very misleading. The next job is to study the measuring block data but again it needs an experienced person to do this. Don’t think you are alone in this, currently I have two vehicles causing me to pull my hair out and on one I stand to loose around £10K as I have had to pull the plug on the engine rebuild as I cannot cure the low oil pressure issue and have had to do what I should have done months ago and fit a genuine VW exchange engine, I did not practice what I preach and got bitten.

    Hi Crasher,

I've had a VCDS scan done today. I've been informed it could be:

    -boost leak
    -vaccum leak
-loose engine mount (not likely but could be)

More so it could be a boost Leak somewhere. I've had all my injectors checked which were fine and the timing chain etc. I can share the text file with you, would you want me to send it via email again?

Also, I have an error with my ESP button, is this a costly fix or nothing to be worried about as I don't tend to turn off my traction control?

    Thank you

Too rich at idle, how could it be a boost leak or vacuum leak, that would cause a correction factor lambda error. I need to be at work on a PC to do this so I will leave the email on my system to remind me.

My thoughts are with you, his methodology is in regards to a leaking pipe could drop my fuel consumption and cause the rough idle.

I would say all other sensors were checked and appear to be working normal including my injectors which I'm happy about. As injectors are expensive! Nonetheless, I will send you over the report via email and let me know your thoughts.

    Cheers Crasher!
