    Hi guys I've got an VW Passat b6 1.9tdi 105bhp 2008 , I've got a code showing p0234 overboost goes to limp mode , my cooling gauge goes over 90cc can anyone help please. I've changed the map sensor , diesel filter but nothing worked so yeah any ideas what's the problem? thanks

    The code shows you have an overboost issue which as I have said elsewhere, is usually carbon build up. This won’t have anything to do with the temperature gauge going up as far as I can think of. When the gauge goes up like this AND they blow water out of the expansion tank under load (say the motorway), this is usually an indication of head gasket failure.

    Thank for reply so what do you suggest to do? Do you think if I use the turbo cleaner will it help?

    No, it does not work long term if at all and oven cleaner can cause rust of the turbine shaft and its piston ring.
