    So my battery is dead car is locked can't open it so is there a way to open bonnet from outside so I can change battery must be the stupidest car design in history

    Hi, I cannot open the bonnet on my 2005 Golf Mk 5. The cable is not attached to the latch and I have taken the front badge off and tried opening the bonnet using a screwdriver, but to no avail. It would be great if someone could tell me some other way. Regards, Lawrence.
