I was wondering for future reference. I own a right hand drive scirocco mk2. Does the bar and linkages that connect the right hand drive brake pedal to the brake servo on the passenger side bulkhead get in the way of the 1.8t swap?
Thanks.

Thank you for the good news.
I haven't really looked into it yet but wanted to ask. Did you have to use the dash board from the parts car?

People used to do that because of the immobiliser but most people have the ECU modified for immobilizer delete or buy and aftermarket ECU which is the best way if the funds allow. Remember some 1.8T's have throttle cables but most have drive by wire throttles.
