Hi to anyone who’s reading, I’m not even sure if I am in the right place but I would love some advice if anyone can help!
My 2017 golf gte advance recently came up with the hybrid drive error followed by gearbox error, my garage put it in to vw as they were unable to fix it. Vw said it would be 5-6k for a new mechatronics unit which I can not justify as the car now on 155k is probably nearing the end of its mechanical life.
so does anyone know if there are any workarounds or rebuilds that are possible and if so please can you point me in the right direction.
Any help or advice would be great.
I can drive in full e mode but it will not switch to ICE when the battery drains. Nor can I get the engine to fire by switching tobattery charge mode.
