Good evening people !

My '05 MK5 looks like it has an issue with the MAP sensor as VCDS tells me.

Swapped the MAP sensor with a new 4 Bar Bosch, checked wires , changed the sensor plug.

When turning on the ignition and wait for the dash lights to come off then start the car, turbine doesn't boost at all( actuator not moving)
When starting the car without waiting for the dash lights to shut down the actuator works and turbo boosts as it should.

Engine is 1.9 TDI code BRU ( 90hp stock ) and it has been modified with hybrid turbo 17/52 , Audi S3 intercooler, Downpipe 76mm , Kevlar Clutch , 6 speed transmission

It is soft tuned by the previous owner and it produces @ 203HP 360Nm at the moment.

What was on there before you replaced it? Check part numbers and replace like for like.
I would imagine that it was probably a 3 bar sensor and so the outputs of the different sensors don't correlate - exactly what VCDS is telling you.

On the Golf 5 platform, this was commonly a wiring fault for which there is a VW repair harness, part number
1KD 971 658 and £52.03 and although a problem mainly on the BKD engine, I have experienced it on others.
