This is a BKD engined Golf 5 2L then. Fuse 8 on the main board under the bonnet will have blown due to the faulty V157 unit and a new one will blow again until you fit a new V157.

Car still goes in to limp mode. I've replaced the throttle body with a new one follow-up by replacing the fuse but still having the same problem.the old owner told me he sprayed wd40 on the waste gate valve and that seemed to fix the problem 🤷‍♂️god knows. I've spent £382 leaving me with the same issue.

What is the fault code? Don't worry too much about being knee deep into it money wise, it happens to all of us and you just have to keep your nerve and carry on, trying not to panic... but that is easier said than done!
