I have a Golf 1.4 TSI GT BLG 170 and im looking to install an oil pressure and temperature gauge.
The issue im having is im not sure where to install the temperature sensor. I was planning to install it in the sump by drilling a hole and tapping it to the correct size, but when talking to my mechanic about it he said getting a T-adapter coming off the pressure sensor location and having both sensors connected to the adapter would be fine.
This sounds great as i dont have to drop the sump and drill into it but my concern is the oil flow. Would this actually work or cause more problems?
The T-adapter would be coming of the side of the engine block with both sensors in it but have no return. This sounds problematic to me.
Im quite new to modding so this may sound like a silly question. Any advice would be great.
